Manatee County commissioners are asking constituents to weigh in on redistricting plans during the Manatee County Board of County Commissioners meeting Oct. 25.

Commissioners plan to take comments on the item at 10 a.m. in the first floor chambers of the Manatee County Administrative Building, 1112 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton.

"Tuesday’s discussion provides for additional discussion and awareness of the public’s opportunity to be engaged in determining the district boundaries where they live,” said Deputy County Administrator Karen Windon, who has coordinated the County’s redistricting process. “The redistricting process is a way to truly get involved in local democracy.”

Additionally, Commissioner Joe McClash will make a 12:15 p.m. presentation on the maps to the Bradenton Kiwanis Club, 1401 21st Avenue West, Bradenton.

Maps are available for viewing at www.mymanatee.org/redistricting.
