EAST COUNTY — If you want to find the area’s newest residential community, just look toward the water tower.

Rinehart Homes has begun construction of its new development, The Cottages at San Casciano, located at 121 48th St. Court N.E., just south of Tidewater Preserve and adjacent to the city of Bradenton’s water tower that greets drivers-by along I-75.

The 98-home community celebrates its grand opening this weekend with models open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, and from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27.

“I think we’re going to be really busy,” said Luis Solari, sales manager for Rinehart Homes.

The homebuilder recently finished its Cottages at Blu Vista community at Prospect Road in Sarasota — a project that shares a similar design with the Cottages at San Casciano.

“It was very exciting,” Solari said of Blu Vista. “The coastal-craftsman architecture, with the tapered columns in the front, went (over) really well. We’re bringing that here at very affordable prices.”

Homes in The Cottages at San Casciano start at $129,900, and eight home designs are being offered currently. Floor plans range from the 1,632-square-foot, two-bedroom Siena design to the 2,503-square-foot, four-bedroom Mirabella IV. The majority of lots also has space for pools, as well.

The community offers no specific amenities, but Solari said the neighborhood’s proximity to I-75, shopping and other features make it a great location for prospective buyers. Its location to high-end communities, such as Tidewater Preserve and The Inlets, also is an attractive feature.

Rinehart Homes already has had 17 presales, despite moving into its onsite office Jan. 3, Solari said.
The developer hopes to have the community built out within two years, Solari said.

The Cottages are open for viewing from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. For information, visit rineharthomesllc.com.
