Feb. 14

LOT OF TROUBLE
12:25 a.m. — 700 block of South Washington Boulevard
Suspicion: A security officer reported an unknown man was walking through the parking lot. The officer's employer said he has explained to the officer that walking through the parking lot is not a crime, and apologized for any inconvenience.

DROPPED CALL
10:59 p.m. — 1200 block of 21st Street
Suspicion: A man found a cell phone in the front seat of his car. The man’s wife, who reported the incident, said the driver side door does not lock. The man said there were no items missing from the vehicle, and he noticed no damage to the car. Officers speculated that the phone was dropped during an attempted burglary, but were uncertain because there was no damage to the car and no items taken.

Feb. 15

REFUND RIFT
8:28 a.m. — 500 block of North Beneva Road
Trespass: The manager of a department store said multiple customers were upset the store was not accepting a return without a receipt. The manager said one of the customers verbally threatened him, and he wanted all three subjects to be trespassed from the store. All three customers agreed to leave the property without further incident.

COLLISION COURSE
9:03 a.m. — 1000 block of Circus Boulevard
Property Damage: The manager of a golf course reported that a golf cart hit one of his staff members. The staff member said he was standing on the side of the driveway when the cart hit him. The driver of the cart said he hit the gas and the car just took off. He said he tried to avoid the staff member by driving off of the roadway, which caused the cart to hit a nearby kiosk. The collision caused approximately $1,500 in damages to the cart and kiosk. The staff member went to the hospital for evaluation after suffering minor lacerations.

SALAD DAYS
7 p.m. — 3500 block of Fruitville Road
Theft: An employee at a store said two men came in and stole a bottle of ranch dressing, valued at $3.94. Surveillance video showed one of the men taking the bottle and placing it under his jacket before leaving the store. The employee said he has seen the subjects in his store before, but attempts to identify the men based on video footage were unsuccessful.
