EXTRA JOLT

A man said he had an ongoing problem with a neighbor, who was plugging in an extension cord from his home into an outside outlet in the back of the man’s house. The man said he allowed his neighbor to plug in the extension cord several weeks ago for about a week as the neighbor waited to get his power turned back on. The man said he has found the extension cord plugged in on several other occasions since then, and that he repeatedly told the neighbor he needs to get his own electricity. The man unplugged the extension cord, at which point the neighbor appeared at the front door of the home and apologized to both the man and the police officer. The neighbor said that he only wanted to use the electricity for 10 minutes to check his e-mail. The electricity stolen was valued at $100.
