Jan. 20
COLD RECEPTION
6 a.m. — 4600 block of Higel Avenue.
Residential Burglary. A man returned to his home from a week-long trip and found his door unlocked. He discovered that $18,000 cash and gold coins were missing. Deputies found stickers on the door and inside that said the house had been “winterized.” The man told officers a bank was trying to foreclose on the house.

Jan. 21
MIDNIGHT SNACK
10:45 p.m. — 900 block of Beach Road.
Burglary of a Business. A business owner reported that a surveillance camera recorded a man stealing $30 in change and snack bags from his concession stand. The suspect entered the business at night through a ventilation duct.

Jan. 22
KEY TO HIS HEART
3:18 p.m. — 8700 block of Midnight Pass Road
. Criminal Mischief. A man reported that someone had keyed both sides of his black BMW. He could not provide deputies with any suspects.

DRIVE ME CRAZY
2:20 a.m. — 5100 block of Ocean Boulevard. Battery. A man began arguing about transportation home with another man he was drinking with at a bar. One man wanted to ride his bicycle home, but the other man said he wanted to drive him home. The cyclist then “snapped” and began punching the man and a nearby woman.
