June 5
Delivery car
1:18 a.m. — 5300 block of GMD.
Suspicious Vehicle. Police noticed a vehicle parked so that it backed up to the exit door of a flower shop. The vehicle had a rack for delivering flowers, so police concluded that it was probably associated with the business.

June 6
Shattered glass
9:13 a.m. — 5700 block of GMD.
Vandalism. A man discovered his car window had been broken overnight. Nothing was taken from it.

June 8
After hours
1:23 a.m. — 4000 block of GMD.
Trespassing. Police noticed a car parked at Bayfront Park Recreation Center after hours. When two people returned to the vehicle, police warned both of them about being on the beach after hours.

The good old days
2 p.m. — 1600 block of GMD. Trespassing. A couple was visiting the area from Texas and parked at the Colony Beach & Tennis Resort to take a walk on the beach, because the man’s family used to vacation at the resort. The man said he didn’t see the “no trespassing” sign.

Quiet time
10:39 p.m. — 5300 block of GMD. Disturbance. A caller complained that it sounded like a loud party was going on in a resort unit. Young children playing games were responsible for the noise. The adults in the room agreed to lower the noise level.

June 9
Late night gathering
1:37 a.m. — Gulf of Mexico Drive and North Shore Road.
Trespassing. Police issued written warnings to six people who were on the beach after hours.

Dog on the run
11:48 a.m. — Longboat Drive North and Fox Street. Dog Found. Police found a friendly mixed-breed dog walking in the street wearing a leash and collar. The dog got a ride home in a police car, after a Village resident told police where he lives.

June 10
He made me do it
8:39 a.m. — 500 block of Broadway
. Traffic Violation. The driver of a truck with an expired tag said he told the owner of the vehicle he didn’t want to drive it because of its expired tag. The driver told police his driver’s license was suspended. Police issued him a citation to appear in court.

Missing wallet
8:45 a.m. — Linley Street. Lost/Missing Property. A man left his black wallet on a pier and returned to find it missing. He wanted a report so he could obtain a duplicate driver’s license.

Filming fight
3:22 p.m. — 1600 block of GMD. Battery. A Ringling student said his professor grabbed him by the arm a few weeks ago, while shooting a film at the Colony Beach & Tennis Resort, after he didn’t return from the grocery store with groceries. He filed a complaint with the school and called police because he wants to file charges against his professor.
