The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports obtained from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

April 3
 Welcome home

6:06 p.m. — 2600 block of 51st Street E. Theft. A man was incarcerated for the last six months. When he returned home, his electric guitar was missing from his closet. The man believes either a family member or a family member’s friend took the guitar and pawned it.

April 5
 Shake, rattle and stole 

2:15 p.m. — 2900 block of 53rd Avenue E. Theft. A juvenile shopped at a department store with her cousin, a friend and the cousin’s 6-month-old baby. The baby was seated in a carrier inside the shopping cart. The juvenile selected a baby neck roll from a shelf, removed the price tag and placed it in the carrier. The friend then opened a box of baby bottles and gave them to the juvenile, who placed the bottle in a large brown purse. The juvenile then removed another bottle from its box and stuck it in the carrier. The group did not pay for any of the items and pushed the cart past points of sale. The juvenile was arrested. The other shoppers were gone upon a deputy’s arrival.

April 8
 Tenant tension

2:51 p.m. — 7000 block of Chatum Light Run. Information Only. A man was inside his home in a large subdivision when he heard an unknown noise coming from downstairs. He walked toward his front door and saw someone with whom he was not familiar. The man retrieved a handgun from his bedroom, opened the door and pointed the gun at the unknown person. The unknown person said he is the father of the home’s landlord. The landlord’s father had come by to do work on the home. Apparently, there have been other outstanding issues between the tenant and landlord. The landlord’s father had arrived to inspect a broken washing machine.

April 9
 Side effect

12:45 a.m. — 6100 block of Turnbury Park Drive. Lost Medication. A woman reported her medication was missing. She searched her home and vehicle but could not find the medication, for which she has a prescription.

April 9
 Party crash

11:46 a.m. — 500 block of 66th Street Court E. Theft. A woman reported someone stole her wallet. She had been at a get-together with multiple people at a hotel room. In the hotel room, she placed her wallet on a table by the door. After leaving the room to smoke a cigarette, she returned and the wallet was gone. No one at the party said they saw the wallet.
