The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports obtained from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

April 20
 Friend or foe?

11 a.m. — 5700 block of 42nd Drive E. Theft. A person reported a theft. The suspect was living with the victim at the time of the incident. The victim believes the suspect removed various items from the residence and pawned them.

April 23 
 Smoke stash

11:24 a.m. — 4000 block of 30th Street E. Drug Possession. A jail inmate was doing work in the jail when someone noticed him picking up a cigarette. A jail supervisor searched the man and found a balled-up cigarette in one of his socks.

No support
2:26 p.m. — 5000 block of Savona Run. Theft. A person reported someone entered a construction site and took 170 pieces of lumber totaling $1,100. The lumber had been located on a slab of concrete where a home is to be built. The lumber was for construction of the roof. There are no suspects.

Paper trail
6:28 p.m. — 8400 block of Lockwood Ridge Road. Burglary. A unknown suspect(s) entered a vehicle through the unlocked driver’s side front door. The person stole paperwork from the glove department.
