Third Avenue East

June 23
10:18 a.m. — 4100 block of Third Ave. E. 
Fraudulent Use of Credit Card: On June 23, Bank of America contacted the victim to inform her they believed fraudulent purchase were made with her Bank of America debit card. The victim went online to print her checking account activity and found eight purchases, totaling $603.43 made over two days for which she did not authorize the transactions.

53rd Avenue East

June 24
3:17 p.m. — 2900 block of 53rd Avenue E. 
Petit/Grand Theft/Shoplifting: The male was observed selecting and concealing items he selected from a shelf into a backpack he selected from a shelf. He then exited the store without paying for the concealed items or the backpack. Employees stopped him outside and the property was recovered. Items taken were valued at about $87.

June 21
3:09 p.m. — 2900 block of 53rd Avenue E.
Petit/Grand Theft: The loss-prevention officer observed the subject removing the price tag from a camera bag and placing it on another. He then proceeded to the register and paid for the bag at the lower price of $19.05 when the real price of the item was $49. The officer stopped the subject outside, and the subject brought back the bag and the subject was returned the money he paid. The subject admitted to changing the price tag, but said he only did it because he was in a hurry and the bag he wanted had no price tag on it. He also admitted he knew the bags were not the same and may have a different price.

42nd Avenue East

June 24
9:31 a.m. — 3200 block of 42nd Avenue E.
Criminal Mischief/Misdemeanor of $200 or Less: The victim stated sometime overnight, the screen to the pool area ripped at the bottom and began blowing in the wind. The screen already had a small tear in it. The victim stated nothing in the pool area was disturbed and she was not sure if someone actually ripped the screen or the wind possibly caused the damage.

55th Avenue East

June 22
4:03 a.m. — 7200 block of 55th Avenue E. 
Removing Shopping Cart/Laundry: A delivery driver observed the subjects taking a shopping cart that was parked next to the rear wall of the building. The passenger pushed the cart to the driver and entered the vehicle, at which time the driver began driving off with the shopping cart in tow. The driver towed the shopping cart out of the parking lot and out onto the main roadway, where he traveled for about 1,000 feet before letting go. 

Whitfield Avenue

June 22
8:53 a.m. — 2600 block of Whitfield Avenue. 
Motor Vehicle Theft: Sometime between June 19 and June 22, unknown person(s) came on the property and stole a 24-foot black flatbed trailer.
