PUNCH OUT
8500 block of Cooper Creek Boulevard, Bradenton
Burglary to Unoccupied Conveyance: The victim parked and went into the fitness facility to sig up for a membership and to workout. She came out to the car to get her identification and placed her purse on the passenger rear floor board and went back inside the gym. While another customer was walking into to the gym, he noticed a car window had been bused out and there was a purse on the ground. He notified management of the business. A wallet and a pair of prescription glasses were taken from the purse.  No witnesses saw the break-in, although authorities know a brown ‘90s model Oldsmobile was seen parked immediately next to the vehicle prior to the burglary.

COMPUTER CASH-OUT
4700 block of Starboard Drive, Bradenton
Burglary to Unoccupied Dwelling: A woman returned to her home and discovered someone had pried open a locked rear sliding door and ransacked her home. The suspect stole computers and other electronics valued at more than $4,000. The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office responded by completing a neighborhood canvas. Surveillance cameras were located next door, but they were not operable. Deputies also located cameras at a home at the end of the street, but no one was home. Detectives found several latent prints and evidence. This home has had four previous burglary reports.

Aug. 11

HOUSE HUNT
4900 block of 82nd Place E., Sarasota
Burglary of Unoccupied Dwelling: A man who was house sitting for a neighbor checked on the house and discovered that someone had forced entry through a side window of the home and rummaged through most of the bedrooms, dressers and closets. The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office spoke to the homeowner over the phone, but could not advise authorities as to what may be missing.

2800 block of University Parkway, Sarasota
Trespass Warning: A loss-prevention employee caught a woman concealing items in the purse. The employee and the general manager detained the woman until the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office arrived. All concealed items were recovered. The woman said she is visiting from New York and is staying in the area for another week. The woman was trespassed from the grocery store in the presence of a deputy.

Intersection of University Parkway and Interstate 75
Found Property: A Manatee County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to assist the Florida Highway Patrol for traffic crash. While on scene, he noticed multiple drug paraphernalia items. He collected them as found property and placed them into evidence.
