Big beef over $10
May 29
400 block of 33rd Avenue East
Information only: A deputy responded to a call about an altercation. When he arrived at the residence, he found a man sitting outside. The man admitted that there had been an altercation before between his brother and someone else, who had a “beef” with each other. His brother had been arguing with a neighbor over $10. The neighbor said he was going to call his family to back him up, and the man who was sitting told his brother to drop it and leave. As the brothers were leaving, someone pulled up in a vehicle, jumped out and started screaming he would shoot the brother who was in the altercation. The brothers said they saw the gun in the man’s pants pocket but he never pulled it out or pointed it at anyone. They were familiar with the gun owner and said he had seen the man carrying it before.

The deputy observed no physical injuries and wrote a report.
