The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports obtained from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

LAKEWOOD RANCH
May 31
 12:01 a.m.
— 7300 block of Desert Ridge Glen. Identity theft. The victim reported unknown person(s) used her identity and credit card information without her permission to make unauthorized charges. She stated she doesn’t know how they got her information. Her bank was able to cancel the card and get the credit card charges reversed.

MOTE RANCH
June 1
 7 p.m.
— 6600 block of Copper Ridge Trail. Burglary to a conveyance. The victim reported unknown person(s) unlawfully entered his vehicle while it was parked in his driveway. The person(s) did so by breaking the rear driver’s side vanity window. The person(s) then entered the vehicle and rummaged through an empty computer case that was sitting on the floorboard. The person(s) didn’t take anything from the vehicle before leaving in an unknown direction by unknown means.

MYAKKA CITY
Reported May 31
 3 p.m.
— 41400 block of State Road 64 E. Information. The complainant contacted the sheriff’s office through a third party in reference to fence construction just outside the boundary of his property. The complainant stated he believed the fence was possibly a hate crime act. The responding deputy examined the fence and observed the wooden stockade fence was painted green, white and orange on the side facing the complainant’s residence. They observed no writing or anything unusual about the fence other than the color it was painted. There were no criminal elements present that would involve law enforcement. The fence was photographed for documentary purposes.

SARASOTA
May 31
 7:51 a.m.
— 5700 block of Avista Drive. Cyberstalking. The victim reported an old friend won’t stop calling her and is scaring her with all of the texts and calls. She said he’s delusional and when she told him not to contact her any longer, he ignores her and continues the threatening calls. A capias was completed.

 5:35 p.m. 
— 6600 block of Pineview Terrace. Neighbor problem. The complainant wanted it documented that she and her neighbor have not been getting along for three years now. The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office has been out recently for the same issues.

OTHER
June 1
 10 p.m.
— 4500 block of 37th Street E. Vehicle burglary. Unknown person(s) burglarized the victim’s vehicle and stole stereo equipment from inside. The vehicle was parked in a fenced and gated area but was left unlocked overnight.

June 2
 4:50 a.m.
— 4600 block of 34th Court E. Burglary. Two unknown black males broke and pulled out the back passenger side door window and entered the victim’s vehicle. While inside, they broke off the dash panel, pulled out the stereo and started to cut the wires. During that time, a witness was out jogging and stumbled across the two suspects. At that point, the two suspects fled on foot and the witness gave chase to one of the black males but wasn’t able to catch up.
