The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports obtained from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

BRADEN WOODS
 Reported Aug. 19

5:29 p.m. — 9600 block of Braden Run. Burglary. The victims stated when they returned home from a two-month vacation, they found their sliding glass door at the rear of the residence open and several drawers inside the residence open. The safe inside the residence also was disturbed. Costume jewelry was thrown in a bedroom chair, and the car keys were disturbed. Nothing appears to be missing from the residence or the car parked in the garage.

LAKEWOOD RANCH
 Aug. 19

3:50 p.m. — 11002 S.R. 64 E. (Hess). Theft. The suspect reportedly fled the gas station after pumping $60 in gas and failing to pay for the gasoline. The clerk was told to call the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office once a copy of the video could be made available.

MILL CREEK
 Reported Aug. 19

1:30 p.m. — 13600 block of Fourth Avenue Northeast. Auto burglary. The complainant stated unknown person(s) took a GPS from one of her two vehicles.

MYAKKA CITY
 Aug. 12

10 p.m. — 5100 block of County Road 675. Burglary. Unknown person(s) entered the farm by cutting the lock on the gate on the south side of the farm. The person(s) drove back to the chemical storage trailer and cut the lock on the trailer. The person(s) then removed chemicals used for spraying melons such as watermelons and cantaloupes before fleeing the area in an unknown direction.

Reported Aug. 21
3:05 p.m. — 11000 block of M-J Road. Armed burglary. Unknown person(s) broke into the complainant’s residence on two different occasions and removed checks and a firearm. The checks were cashed at a pawnshop in Arcadia and at an unknown Bank of America.


RIVER LANDINGS
 Aug. 22

11 p.m. — 6100 block of 56th Terrace East. Vehicle burglary. Unknown person(s) entered the vehicle by cutting away the tint on the driver’s side window and placing the window on the driveway. The person(s) then climbed through the window and removed a GPS system hooked to the windshield near the mirror before fleeing the area.
11:30 p.m. — 6100 block of 56th Terrace East. Vehicle burglary. Unknown person(s) entered the vehicle by smashing a rear passenger side window with an unknown object. The person(s) then reached into the backseat floorboard area and removed a laptop and a case that were lying on the floor before fleeing the area.

SARASOTA
 Aug. 19

2:30 p.m. — 7300 block of Linden Lane. Burglary to an unoccupied dwelling. Unknown suspect(s) forced their way through the spare bedroom window and into the residence. Once inside, the suspect (s) stole $8,819 of property before fleeing in an unknown direction.

TARA
 Aug. 18

11 p.m. — 6600 block of Seven Pines Drive. Criminal mischief. Unknown person(s) broke the back window of the residence by unknown means, causing about $100 in damage. There were no signs of anyone having entered the home, and nothing was disturbed inside the home.

OTHER
 Aug. 20

4:30 p.m. — 2911 53rd Ave. E. (Wal-Mart). Retail theft. The suspects selected $163.50 in items and concealed the merchandise in empty shopping bags and exited the store without paying.
