The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports obtained from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

BRADEN WOODS
 July 25

3 a.m. — 9400 block of 64th Avenue East. Vehicle burglary. Unknown person(s) entered the vehicle and removed about $310 in property. One of the occupants saw a vehicle being towed from a neighbor’s driveway around 5 a.m. The responding deputy wrote field interviews in reference to occupants of a vehicle that had been broken down in the cul-de-sac and was later towed by A Awesome Towing. While the deputy was canvassing the neighborhood, it was discovered that another vehicle had been entered.

HERITAGE HARBOUR
 July 25

10 p.m. — 8900 block of Stone Harbour Loop. Burglary. Unknown person(s) entered the residence through an unlocked rear sliding door. Once inside, the person(s) broke a coffee table, broke a telephone and ate some brownies that were on the stove. The person(s) caused about $200 damage but did not take anything. The person(s) then fled in an unknown direction.
 
LAKEWOOD RANCH
 July 24

8:30 a.m. — 1520 Lakewood Ranch Blvd. (CVS). Obtaining controlled substance by fraud. The pharmacy received a call from someone saying that she was a nurse for a doctor’s office and needed to have a prescription of Vicodin filled. The pharmacist called the doctor’s office and verified that no one from the office had called to fill the prescription.
 
MILL CREEK
 July 25

10 p.m. — 13500 block of Fourth Avenue Northeast. Vehicle burglary. An unknown person entered the victim’s vehicle, which was parked in the driveway of his residence. It’s unknown if the vehicle was locked, but there were no signs of forced entry. Some electronic items were stolen from inside the vehicle. A similar incident occurred down the street during which a stereo face place was stolen from inside a vehicle.
 
MYAKKA CITY
 Reported July 25

3:47 p.m. — 5400 block of 249th Street East. Cruelty to an animal. A horse was severely injured on its face by unknown means. According to a veterinarian, the horse had several facial fractures. The horse appeared to have been shot, possibly by a shotgun based on the way the owner described the horse’s injuries. The horse was later euthanized because of the injuries it sustained.

RIVER CLUB
 Reported July 23

5:30 p.m. — 7400 block of Pine Valley Street. Burglary. Unknown suspect(s) entered the house through an unsecured bedroom window and stole several items. The suspect(s) then fled the scene in an unknown direction by unknown means. The family was on vacation at the time of the incident, and the son admitted that he leaves his bedroom window unlocked all of the time.
 
SABAL COVE
 July 24

1:30 p.m. — 3100 block of 54th Drive East. Burglary to an unoccupied dwelling. Unknown person(s) entered the victim’s apartment through the front door. Once inside, the person(s) ransacked the victim’s bedroom, tossing numerous items around the room. Roughly $2,946 in property was stolen from the residence. The person(s) then fled the scene in an unknown direction by unknown means.
 
SARASOTA
 July 27

4:12 a.m. — 8400 block of Gardens Circle. Unoccupied burglary. Unknown suspect(s) entered the residence through an unlocked door and removed an item. The suspect(s) then fled the area in an unknown direction. A perimeter was set up to try and contain the suspect(s) for the K-9 unit to track. The vehicle was not processed due to it being wet. The victim was advised to call the Sheriff’s Office once the vehicle was dry.
 
WILLOWBROOK
 Reported July 23

10:50 a.m. — 9000 block of White Sage Loop. Grand theft of a construction site. Unknown person(s) stole the A/C blower off the residence, which is under construction.
