The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports obtained from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

RIVER CLUB
June 2
 6 p.m.
— 7400 block of Pine Valley Street. Criminal mischief. The victim reported unknown person(s) vandalized his vehicle while it was parked in his driveway on two separate occasions. The driver-side door was keyed on the first occurrence, and the tailgate received multiple dents on the second occurrence. The vehicle was locked at the time and has no alarm system. The estimated cost of the damage is $1,000.

June 5
 4:26 a.m.
— 7300 block of Pine Valley Street. Burglary to an occupied dwelling. While on routine patrol, the responding deputy observed two while male juveniles run out from the residence’s open garage. The deputy spoke with the owner, who stated a bag was missing from one of his three vehicles. The juveniles were not found.

SARASOTA
June 4
 9 p.m.
— 8100 block of Abingdon Court. Information. The complainant recently sold a vehicle to the suspect. The suspect was unhappy with his purchase and made vulgar phone calls to the complainant, expressing his anger about the purchase. The suspect never asked for a refund but did state numerous times that the vehicle was misrepresented in the listing. The complainant did have a signed bill of sale that stated the car was sold in an as-is condition.

OTHER
May 24
 11:15 a.m.
— 5100 block of 53rd Avenue East. Battery. The victim and the defendant got into an argument about the victim operating a remote control car in the parking lot on his side of the building because it upsets his dogs. The defendant reportedly took a chair and hit the remote control car. The defendant stated the victim drove the car into his chair. The victim also stated the defendant closed a shared gate on him, causing an abrasion to his left forearm. A capias request was completed, and photographs were taken.

June 4
 5:45 p.m.
— 8900 block of Manor Loop. Alleged child abuse. A confidential person reported the suspect often consumes a large amount of alcohol while caring for her 7-year-old son. She also operates her motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol while her son is in the vehicle. The suspect was contacted at her residence along with her son. The suspect did not show any signs of being under the influence of any drugs or alcohol. The residence appeared to be in a clean and safe condition, and the suspect’s son appeared happy and healthy. There were no signs of physical abuse or neglect during the investigation.

June 5
 2:50 p.m.
— 7379 52nd Place E. (Bealls Outlet). Petit retail theft. The defendant concealed clothing in her purse and then exited the store without paying. Two loss prevention officers stopped her outside and a struggle ensued, as they attempted to recover their property. The defendant was taken into custody. All three individuals sustained minor injuries. The defendant was asked if she needed EMS and she said she did due to back pain from a recent incident. The responding deputy took photos of all three individuals’ injuries. A copy of the security tape was obtained and placed into property.

June 7
 2:31 p.m.
— 8320 Lockwood Ridge Road (Walmart). Retail grand theft. The male suspect attempted to steal several items valued at $394.41. A loss prevention officer detained him prior to the responding deputy’s arrival. Upon further investigation, the suspect was arrested and transported to the Manatee County Jail.
