The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports obtained from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

GREENBROOK
April 18
 8:30 p.m.
— 14100 block of Cattle Egret Place. Burglary to an unoccupied conveyance. An unknown subject entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle. Once inside, the subject removed $419 in cash and a cell phone.

GREENFIELD PLANTATION
Reported April 19
 12:56 p.m.
— 1400 block of Millbrook Circle. Grand theft. The victim stated she believes the suspect, an employee for Enviro Clean, stole her diamond wedding band from her jewelry box while he made a service call to her residence. The possible suspect was in the victim’s bedroom unattended. The wedding band is valued at about $2,500.

SARASOTA
April 18
 7 p.m.
— 8494 Lockwood Ridge Road (McDonald’s). Information. The complainant reported an unknown person cut in front of her in line. When she confronted the person, he became verbally aggressive toward her. The complainant spoke with the manager who just took her order and told her to leave. The next morning, she followed up with McDonald’s corporate. They told her to file a police report, and they would look into her issue.

 8 p.m.
— 5900 block of Sandstone Avenue. Burglary to a conveyance. Unknown person(s) entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and ransacked the interior, taking an item. The driver’s side door hadn’t been locked. Some possible latent prints were obtained from inside the vehicle and placed in the D1 box.

Reported April 19
 10:20 a.m
. — 7600 block of Matoaka Road. Burglary to a fenced in area. Unknown person(s) entered the chain-link storage area and took building materials from a wooden pallet. The area was checked, but no evidence of any kind was found. The rear portion of the warehouse doesn’t have any lights or video.

OTHER
April 18
 4:27 p.m
. — 2911 53rd Ave. E. (Walmart). Petit theft: third offense. The defendant concealed merchandise and exited the store without paying. He was stopped and detained. All of the merchandise he had on him was recovered. The defendant had a prescription bottle with two different types of pills in it. The pills were identified, and he had a valid prescription for both, but one was not in its proper container. The complainant later found some drug paraphernalia in the loss prevention office that the defendant had tried to hide. The paraphernalia was retrieved and put into property and evidence.

April 19
 1:07 p.m
. — 2911 53rd Ave. E. (Walmart). Retail theft. The defendant selected several items and changed the prices on the packages to a lower price. The defendant also concealed items in her shopping cart after paying for several items at the register. The defendant was stopped by loss prevention and detained prior to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office’s arrival. The defendant was arrested. The defendant’s mother responded and took possession of the car and the items that had been paid for at the defendant’s request.

 11:45 a.m
. — 5900 block of 63rd Lane E. Identity theft. Unknown person(s) obtained a duplicate copy of the victim’s credit card by using his personal information. The credit card was used for a purchase prior to the credit card company’s fraud department contacting the victim and canceling it.
