The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports obtained from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

BRADEN WOODS
Reported April 6
 6:30 p.m.
— 9500 block of 64th Avenue East. Grand theft. Unknown person(s) entered the victim’s front and side yard, which was not fenced. The person(s) then cut the AC lines, which run to the house, and removed the unit. The AC unit is valued at $3,883.

CREEKWOOD
April 8
 6:15 p.m.
— 7900 block of 48th Place East. Found property. Two deputies responded to to a call about kids hanging out and possibly smoking marijuana. The deputies noticed several males walking away from a black SUV in the northeast corner of the parking lot back toward the basketball court and conducted field interviews with the group. A bag of marijuana was found. The suspect said he did not know where it came from and denied it was his. The bag was seized and entered into evidence for fingerprints.

GREENFIELD PLANTATION
Reported April 4
 9 p.m.
— 600 block of Planters Manor Way. Burglary to an unoccupied dwelling. The victim and his family were on vacation. When they returned home they found their house in disarray along with their front and back doors open and unlocked. Unknown person(s) entered the residence by cutting a 12-inch slit in the screen on the rear side lanai door and prying open the rear sliding glass door to the living room. The person(s) stole about $5,000 in property. The person(s) went into the garage and rambled through the glove compartment of the victim’s vehicle. Nothing noticeable was taken from the vehicle.
 
HERITAGE HARBOUR
April 4
 6 p.m.
— 7100 block of Chatum Light Run. Auto burglary. Unknown person(s) opened the unlocked vehicle and stole a computer that belongs to Nuvox. The computer and its bag were located on the rear seat behind the driver’s seat.

 9 a.m. 
— 300 block of Winding Brook Lane. Uttering a false instrument. The victim reported unknown person(s) gained access to her checking account and used her funds without her consent.
 
LAKEWOOD RANCH
Reported April 6
 1:15 p.m.
— 8400 block of Market Street. Credit card fraud. The victim reported unknown person(s) gained access and used his debit card without his permission or consent.

MILL CREEK
April 4
 8:30 p.m.
— 300 block of Woodview Way. Vehicle burglary. Unknown person(s) broke the driver’s side window and removed about $1,200 in property. The vehicle was dusted for prints, but the incident was neither seen or heard.
 
RIVER CLUB
April 4
 4:08 a.m.
— 6400 block of Shoal Creek Street Circle. Trespass to an occupied structure. The victim stated she woke up when she heard voices coming from the enclosed pool area of her home. She looked out by the pool and saw a light-skinned male in his early 20s and about 5-foot-10 with a medium build standing inside the caged pool area by a pressure washer. The suspect had short brown hair and was wearing a gray T-shirt and pants. The suspect waved to the victim and then fled out the west side of the pool area. The victim called to her husband, who ran down the street after the suspect. He said the suspect got into the passenger side of a dark SUV, possibly a Jeep or a Santa Fe.

UNIVERSITY CENTER
April 7
 10:55 p.m.
— 8300 block of Tourist Center Drive. Defraud innkeeper. The complainant reported the female suspect and an unknown white male came in and ordered $77.98 in food and drinks. The suspect and the unknown male received their drinks and appetizers. About an hour later, the suspect and the unknown male left the restaurant without paying the bill. When they left, the server was in the kitchen getting their entrees. The suspect left her driver license on the table. The server positively identified the person pictured in the driver license as being the female that left without paying for the food. The driver license was placed into property and evidence.

OTHER
April 2
 7:57 p.m.
— 11000 block of State Road 64 East. DUI. Deputies were securing a parking lot during a bomb threat when a white Lexus drove past a deputy trying to stop traffic. Upon talking with the driver, the deputy overheard on the radio a report of a possibly impaired driver operating the same vehicle that he had stopped for driving past him. While talking with the driver, the deputy became concerned the driver might be impaired and requested a traffic unit to respond. The traffic deputy conducted a DUI investigation, and the driver was arrested.

April 5
 10:45 a.m.
— 6700 block of State Road 70 East. Grand theft. The victim brought her vehicle to the car wash to have it detailed. She reportedly had an envelope with cash in it in the center console of the vehicle and did not remember it until the vehicle had started the detailing process. When the victim claimed her vehicle at the end of the cycle, $380 was missing from the envelope.

April 8
2:10 p.m. — 9501 S.R. 64 E. (Haile Middle School). Felony theft. The two juvenile suspects stole a laptop computer from the school’s reading room. Both students denied taking the computer until they learned another student saw them take it and advised school officials. The two students then admitted to the theft and gave the computer back to school officials.
