The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports obtained from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

GREYHAWK LANDING
Reported March 21
 9:32 a.m
. — 12600 block of Daisy Place. Grand theft (DVD piracy). The complainant reported his parents have illegally copied thousands of DVDs and are involved in a crime syndicate committing video piracy.

HERITAGE HARBOUR
March 21
 7:10 a.m.
— 9100 block of Hammock Edge Place. Burglary. Unknown person(s) entered the residence and removed about $3,170 in property. It appears the person(s) entered the residence through the living room sliding glass door. Photographs were taken, and the scene was processed for prints.
 
LAKEWOOD RANCH
Reported March 23
 2 p.m.
— 8900 block of White Sage Loop. Theft. Unknown person(s) took the complainant’s laptop computer from her home.
 
RIVER CLUB
March 21
 4 p.m.
— 7400 block of Pine Valley Street. Criminal mischief. Unknown person(s) cut two screens on the complainant’s pool cage. The complainant stated the residence is currently vacant. The complainant recently purchased the residence and is in the process of fixing it up.
 
SUMMERFIELD
March 20
 8 p.m.
— 6500 block of Meandering Way. Vehicle burglary. Unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and stole the victim’s GPS and cell phone charger, leaving the cell phone.

8:30 p.m. — 11200 block of Blue Sage Place. Trespass conveyance. Unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicles. Once inside, the person(s) went through the glove box and center console but removed nothing. Unknown person(s) then fled in an unknown direction. The vehicles couldn’t be processed because of weather.

10 p.m. — 6600 block of Meandering Way. Vehicle burglary. Unknown person(s) entered the open garage and went through the victim’s vehicle. The person(s) went through the glove box and stole the victim’s purse. The vehicle wasn’t locked while it was inside the garage. Nothing else was missing from the garage.
 
OTHER
March 22
 6:39 a.m.
— 8604 S.R. 70 E. (Hess). Criminal mischief. A male customer driving a white Ford truck parked his truck at pump 14. The male then exited his truck and busted the four nozzles off of the gas pumps. The male then got back into his vehicle and drove off. The incident was captured on video, but the video quality is grainy and may be of little use. A copy of the video was obtained and placed into property.

1:24 p.m. — 7365 52nd Place E. (Bealls). Retail theft. The suspect stole sunglasses and two shirts from the store but was caught by loss prevention.
 
March 23
6 p.m. — 7393 S.R. 70 E. (Bob Evans). Obtaining food with intent to defraud. A white male parked his vehicle on the shoulder of the westbound lanes of State Road 70 across from the restaurant. He then jumped the fence and went into the restaurant and ordered a meal for about $10. The complainant stated the victim was acting strange and thought he might be on drugs. After he ate, the suspect hid out in the bathroom and was making inappropriate comments to the young female staff. The suspect kept peeking out and looking to see if the employees were not looking so he could run out. He finally did so without paying.
 
March 24
2:17 p.m. — 5530 S.R. 64 E. (Amoco). Retail theft. The complainant reported an unknown white male, who was the passenger of the suspect vehicle, stole about 12 candies.
