The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports obtained from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

COUNTRY PALMS
Jan. 25
 7:30 a.m
. — 7700 block of 37th St. E. Burglary to unoccupied residence. The victim left her residence at 7:30 a.m., and, upon returning the same day at 5 p.m., she discovered her front door had been forced open. The victim noticed several pieces of costume jewelry were missing. A deputy obtained one print card.

SUMMERFIELD PARK
Jan. 25
 7:30 p.m.
— 6400 Golden Leaf Court. Burglary to an unoccupied dwelling. Unknown persons entered the victim’s residence by ripping the screen to a rear patio door and unlocking that door and then breaking the rear sliding glass door. Once inside, the subject(s) took a 52-inch flat screen television and a laptop computer. The subject(s) exited through the front door. Total value of the property taken is estimated at $2,600.

PARRISH
Jan. 26
 10 p.m. 
— 12000 block of U.S. 301 North. Burglary to a structure. Unknown person(s) entered the business by prying a board off a broken window in the rear of the building. Person(s) entered through the window and ransacked the business, stealing items.

SUGAR RIDGE
Jan. 26
 8:30 a.m.
— 3100 block of 34th Ave. Dr. E. Residential burglary. At least two unknown suspects went inside the fenced yard and cut or pushed out the screens on the pool patio door. The suspects fled for an unknown reason, but left two bicycles behind. There was no entry to the main house.

OTHER
Jan. 25
 7 p.m. 
— 500 block of 66th Street Court East (Citgo). Armed robbery. An unidentified male in a gray hooded sweater, blue jeans, white tennis shoes and a black ski mask over his face entered the location through the north entrance. The suspect demanded all the money in the register. He had a dark-colored shirt over his arm and was holding his arm as if he had a gun. The victim emptied currency into a plastic bag and handed it to the suspect. The suspect fled out the south entrance, possibly getting into an older white, four-door vehicle and headed westbound on State Road 64. About $300 was taken.

8:32 p.m. — 8400 block of Lockwood Ridge Road. Suspicious circumstance. The deputy responded to an armed robbery at the Albertson’s parking lot that occurred 15 minutes prior to the call and met with the victim at the McDonald’s. The victim was directed to give a detailed description of events and to complete an affidavit. The victim stated he was riding in a vehicle with friends.

Jan. 26
 7:15 a.m.
— 3100 block of University Parkway (Walgreens). Petit theft. An unknown white male entered the store and proceeded to the jewelry department. Upon arrival, the suspect noticed there was no one on duty at this station and proceeded to walk behind the counter. He opened several drawers and took six keys that open the jewelry case plus other showcases in the store. The suspect then fled the scene through the front door and rode off in a red two-door convertible that picked him up in the parking lot.

1:50 p.m. — 2900 block of 53rd Ave. E. Petit theft/shoplifting. The suspect concealed merchandise and passed the final point of sale at the Walmart without attempting to pay for the items.
