Conquistadors from the Hernando De Soto Historical Society visited McNeal Elementary School Sept. 18 as part of second-grade teacher Kristen Chapman’s historical information unit.
The Crewe arrived on its pirate ship float in uniform and handed out beads to students. Even Principal Norma Scott had a chance to schmooze with the historical visitors.
