The Longboat Key Town Commission will set its maximum millage at tonight’s regular meeting.

The maximum millage rate is the highest millage rate the commission could levy in September

Town Manager Dave Bullock is recommending holding the millage flat at the current rate of 2.1763. The current millage rate would generate an additional $504,061 in revenue for the 2015-16 fiscal year because property values increased 5.3% Keywide.

Bullock will submit his recommended budget by Aug. 1. The commission will approve the budget on first and second hearing in September.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. tonight at Longboat Key Town Hall, 501 Bay Isles Road.
