The Longboat Key Town Commission will discuss the Colony Beach & Tennis Resort’s reopening extension, a plan for beach renourishment and approve the town’s 2012-13 fiscal year budget on second reading at three separate meetings scheduled at Town Hall today.

This morning at 9 a.m., commissioners are set to discuss an 18-month resort reopening extension sought by Colony officials. Colony developer Andy Adams is expected to be in attendance to answer development questions from commissioners.

At the commission’s 1 p.m. regular workshop, commissioners are set to make a decision on what kind of beach renourishment and sand saving structures they want built on the north end of the island.

At 5:01 p.m., the commission will hold a budget adoption meeting for th2 2012-13 fiscal year budget.

All meetings today are held at Town Hall, 501 Bay Isles Road.
