The Longboat Key Town Commission regular meeting tonight has an agenda that looks more like a Colony Beach & Tennis Resort special workshop.

At tonight’s 7 p.m. meeting at Town Hall, 501 Bay Isles Road, commissioners will review and consider several Colony agenda items that are a follow-up to a special meeting commissioners held on the resort last month.

Commissioners will review a request for increased security at the resort and the removal of “extraneous junk” on the property. Commissioners will also discuss the possibility of condemning the property tonight, while better defining tourism terms to further solidify the resort can only be used for tourism uses moving forward.

Also at its meeting tonight, commissioners will discuss selecting a new town attorney and the storage of boats and trailers Key-wide.
