South end residents worried about erosion hotspots near L’Ambiance, Pierre and Regent Place will see sand help soon.

Town Manager Dave Bullock will discuss an option at tonight's Longboat Key Town Commission regular meeting that would truck in some sand to fill in some of those erosion hotspots.

The emergency sand fill would act as a stop gap before sand arrives in summer 2015 once the town and city of Sarasota reach a funding agreement to share sand that will be dredged from New Pass.
