“Florence Putterman: A Survey of Works from 1949 to 2009” opened March 25, at the Longboat Key Center for the Arts, a Division of Ringling College of Art and Design, to an overflowing crowd of 300. Putterman’s work includes a variety of approaches to which she is continually adding, along with constant experiment in a variety of media.

Many of the works on display are on loan from individual collections, as well as from her own. Her works are also on display in galleries around the country. She recently published her autobiography, “Entwined Metaphors,” which includes selected pieces of her art, along with reviews.

The exhibit will continue through April 22.
