Students in Kelly Huber's third-grade class at B.D. Gullett Elementary School were eager to share about their favorite books with The East County Observer.

Read below to see how children answered the question, "What is your favorite book and why?"

Matt Gelorme
"My favorite book would probably be the Geronimo Stilton series because it has funny cartoons in it, and it makes me laugh all the time."

Cory Gonzalez
"'Diary of a Wimpy Kid,' probably. It’s an adventure. I like stories about kids when they do stuff. They converted it into a movie, and I like the movie, too. It is funny. It’s serious sometimes. It's just a really good book."

Taylor White
"'The Big Fat Cow That Goes Kapow.' It has a lot of explosions, and it has a lot of our vocabulary words in it."

Georgie Davis
"The series, 'My Weird School.' It's funny, and it has a lot of adjectives that I can picture in my mind."

Alicia Ruscher
"My favorite series is 'The Dance Fairies.' The reason I like them is because they are interesting to read."

Jade Hayden"My favorite book is '‘Magic Treehouse' because I like their adventures. They go almost everywhere."
