Elizabeth Watson
Parents: Martin and Jane Watson
High school: St. Stephen’s Episcopal School
Summer plans: Get a summer job or internship
Higher education: Manatee Community College, where Watson will fulfill her general-education requirements.
Favorite high school moment: A class trip to Quebec that Watson took during her sophomore year.
Favorite high school class: Photography and AP Art History
Hobbies: Tennis, horseback riding, scuba diving, photography and spending time with friends
Community service/extracurricular activities: Scuba diving with Reef Rakers
What can’t you live without? “My parents and my sister (Alexandra, 23). I feel like she’ll always be there.”


COLLEGE GRADUATES

Stefanie Boyer daughter of Richard and Elissa Boyer, of Longboat Key, graduated May 2, from the University of South Florida, with her doctorate in marketing. Boyer has accepted an assistant professorship at Bryant University, in Smithfield, R.I., where she will develop the sales program.

Devi Cox, daughter of Graham Cox, of Longboat Key, and Cyndi Beale, of Sarasota, graduated May 2, from the University of South Florida, with a bachelor’s degree in English. She has been studying Japanese in her free time and hopes to teach English in Japan.

Thomas Lendrihas, son of Michael and Janet Lendrihas, of Longboat Key, graduated this spring from the University of South Florida with his Ph.D. in medical sciences, molecular medicine. Lendrihas is a member of Sigma Xi, the Protein Society, American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.

Brian Walsh, son of Matt and Lisa Walsh, of Longboat Key, graduated May 9, from Berklee College of Music, in Boston, with a bachelor of music degree in performance and professional music. Walsh plans to pursue a master’s degree in international studies.
