The city of Sarasota launched a new television program this week dedicated to educating the community about businesses located within Sarasota.

The show, titled “City Business,” will feature retail stores, restaurants and other service providers with the goal of promoting businesses and possibly increasing customer traffic.

Each 15-minute episode will feature at least two businesses.

One of the Sarasota City Commission’s top priorities is economic development, with commissioners committed to creating a more business friendly culture at City Hall.

It’s the city’s hope that “City Business” will help achieve that goal by promoting local businesses and services available within the city limits.

“City Business” can be viewed on the City’s web site, www.sarasotagov.com. It also can be seen on Access Sarasota, the government access station in Sarasota County, located on channel 19 on Comcast Cable and channel 32 on Verizon.

A weekly TV program schedule is posted on www.sarasotagov.com.
