Church collects gifts for Immokalee

Our Lady of Mount Carmel’s Giving Tree Ministry collected a record number of gifts this year. Co-chairs Kimberly and Gary Chmielewski coordinated the campaign and collected more than $16,300 — more than any other year.

More than 900 gifts were collected, including clothing, bikes, gift cards and toys. It took three vehicles, including a 17-foot U-Haul truck, to carry the gifts to Immokalee.
