Supporters of Community Haven for Adults and Children with Disabilities today broke ground on the facility's newest building — a nine-bed group home to be called Marlene's House.
The 4,800-square-foot residence will be built by Halfacre Construction and is expected to be finished in August.
The project is the first improvement to CHAC's campus, as outlined in the organization's 10-year master plan.
"It's a very special day for our clients and thier families," CHAC's President and CEO Marla Doss said. "There are so many who need (these services). We are on a waiting list on every single one of our programs. We want to grow."
