Instead of flying back to their home city to rest up for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Arizona Cardinals have landed in Sarasota — and they've landed in luxury.

The NFL team is staying at the Ritz-Carlton Sarasota while practicing daily at IMG Academy, according to Cardinals Vice President of Media Relations Mark Dalton.

“That was the biggest thing – for us, two 10 a.m. kickoffs in a row, we felt like staying east would benefit our guys from staying off six and a half, seven hours on a plane going back to Phoenix, and then coming right back," said Cardinals Head Coach Bruce Arians in a statement provided by Dalton. "So, we felt like that was the best thing for us – maybe get back into a little bit of a training camp mode.”

In the latest news for both teams, the Bucs plan to start rookie Mike Glennon at quarterback over Josh Freeman, who is currently seeking to be traded. And the Cardinals poked some fun at an injury to safety Rashad Johnson over Twitter with a picture of a foam hand missing the tip of its middle finger.
