Sarasota Police divers are currently pulling a red Jeep Liberty out of a north Sarasota pond, after 86-year-old Gil DiLoreto backed the vehicle into the water.

Neighbor Cliff Wright pulled Loreto, 77-year-old Darlene Miller and Pat Cothern, 82, from the vehicle Tuesday afternoon. None of the occupants  suffered injuries, according to SPD spokeswoman Genevieve Judge.

The Jeep sunk to the bottom of the waterway near the 3900 block of Glen Oak Manor Drive, which is near the intersection of 17th Street and North Beneva Road.

Divers used a vehicle-recovery system to hoist the Jeep out of the lake.
