+ Cutting Loose Salon celebrates fifth anniversary
Last month, Cutting Loose Salon celebrated its five-year anniversary.

Founded by stylist Coral Pleas, the salon has grown from a staff of four to 50.

“I have enjoyed being a hairdresser for the last 30 years and look forward to playing the role of CEO and visionary for our company,” said Pleas, who operates the business with her children, Travis and Taelor. “We are thankful for all our customers and for the growth and success we have enjoyed since we opened in 2008.”

The salon has received numerous accolades; Salon Today magazine recognized it in 2011, 2012 and 2013 as a Top 200 Salon in America, and it was voted “Best Hair Salon” by Living on the Suncoast in 2012.
Cutting Loose is a member of Intercoiffure America/Canada.

Cutting Loose has locations at 8429 Honore Ave., in University Park; 1950 Main St., in Sarasota; and is opening another Lakewood Ranch location in the second quarter of 2013, at 5820 Ranch Lake Blvd., Building B, Unit 112.

+ Internet marketing company expands to Lakewood Ranch
DOSH Technology Partners LLC recently added a location in Lakewood Ranch.

The company, based in Syracuse, N.Y., specializes in increasing the online visibility of businesses using strategic Internet marketing, including search-engine optimization, search-engine marketing, social-media marketing and pay-per-click advertising.

CEO Doug Phillips recently moved to Lakewood Ranch.

+ Lee Wetherington Homes adds two new employees
The Lakewood Ranch-based homebuilder Lee Wetherington Homes has added two new employees, welcoming Trudi Ellis, purchasing assistant, and Don Dobbs, building superintendent.

“We could not be happier about the need to expand our team,” said Peter Mason, vice president of sales and marketing for Lee Wetherington Homes.

In 2012, Lee Wetherington Home sales were up by 50% compared to 2011, with sales volume topping $20 million.

Ellis has lived in Sarasota since 2001 and has worked in residential real estate for two years and commercial real estate for seven years.

Dobbs was a building inspector in Fort Myers and most recently was a construction manager at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

+ $7.9 million invested in Concession development
Concessions 113 LLC invested $7.9 million in The Concession residential development. The company, formed for the purchase, completed the transaction Dec. 13.

It is for the remaining 113 lots in Phase II of the residential development adjacent to The Concession Golf Club, a private Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course.

John Peshkin, manager of Concessions 113 LLC, and his partners purchased the lots from The Concession Land Development LLC, the original developer of the 1,200 acres.
