+ Key Club receives its 27th Four-Diamond Award
The Longboat Key Club and Resort received its 27th consecutive AAA Four-Diamond Award. AAA representative Bill Diamond presented the award during the Key Club’s annual housekeeping potluck. Of properties considered for the honor, 3% receive the award.

+ Longboat resident joins the Argus Foundation board
Longboat Key resident Warren Simonds, vice president of Willis A. Smith Construction Inc., has joined the board of the Argus Foundation.

Simonds has been active in Sarasota’s business community since he moved to the area in 1972 and has worked in the fields of banking, architecture and construction. He has participated in the Argus Foundation for 15 years.

+ Lisa Grossman acquires Alternative Health practice
Lisa Grossman, of Alchemy Acupuncture, Psychotherapy & Herbal Pharmacy, has acquired the practice of Margot Walbert at 5370 Gulf of Mexico Drive, Suite 204-A. Grossman will operate the practice, formerly known as the Alternative Health Care Center, as a second branch location.

Grossman is a board-certified acupuncture physician, psychotherapist and herbalist. She began her medical career as a psychotherapist 25 years ago. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned her oriental-medicine degree from East West College of Natural Medicine, in Sarasota.

Shoppers at Patchington, 6 Ave. of the Flowers, can save money while helping victims of domestic violence Tuesday, Feb. 23, through Monday, March 1. Customers who bring in a gently used item of clothing will get a discount on new items. Donate a blouse or top and get $10 off a new blouse or top; give pants or a skirt and get $15 off new pants or skirts; and get a $20 discount with the donation of a dress or jacket.
