+ Child Safe Inc. welcomes former Goodwill president
Zoltan Karapathy, former president of the Goodwill Foundation, has accepted the position of president of ChildSafe Inc., a not-for-profit program that works in conjunction with area police in North America to prevent child sexual abuse through information, education and advocacy.

During Karapathy’s 11 years of service to Goodwill, approximately $9 million has been raised to support Goodwill Foundation efforts and to fund mission enhancement.

Through Karapathy’s efforts, the Goodwill Mardi Gras Gala Fund/Friend-raiser has become Goodwill’s signature community event and was sold out this year.

“As we say here, no one ever ‘leaves’ Goodwill, but rather is ‘sent’ as a Goodwill missionary to expand human services for a better community,” said the Rev. Donald L. Roberts in a prepared statement.
