+ Jason’s deli opens first East County location
Jason’s deli opened its new location off University Parkway last week.

The restaurant, 5231 University Parkway, will bring about 65 jobs to the area. It offers a variety of sandwiches, soups, salads and more.

This week, Jason’s Deli is partnering with the Payton Wright Foundation for a fundraiser. The deli will donate 10% of sales made to customers who present a special Payton Wright flyer.

“We want to share in our first week opening success by giving back 10% of our after-tax proceeds to the Payton Wright Foundation” said franchise co-owner Diana Willis.

Jason’s deli is a privately owned company started by three first cousins in 1976. It is known for its salad bar, more than 23 recipes made from scratch and its free ice cream at all locations.
