The Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance on May 17 will swing into a new networking venture — its own golf league.

“So much networking is done on the golf course, this just seemed like a natural extension to our member benefits,” said Robin Parsons, business development director for the Alliance. “The golf league will allow members to network in smaller groups while working on their golf game.

“We are always looking for new and unique opportunities for our members and this is just another example,” she said. “We appreciate our member organization, Legacy Golf Club, presented us with the suggestion.”

The league will be held every Thursday evening at the Legacy Golf Club, 8225 Legacy Boulevard, and will run for 15 weeks staring May 7. The winning team from the first seven weeks of play will play against the winner of the second seven-weeks of play during the league championship this summer.

Tee times will start at 4 p.m. Each team will consist of two players.

Cost to join the league will be $395, and includes weekly green fees, prize money and an end-of-the-season banquet.

For information on the league or to sign up, contact Steve Goeller at the Legacy Golf Club at 907-7920 or [email protected].
