The Manatee County Agriculture and Extension Office and the Farm City Week Committee will offer a bus tour of area featured farms in honor of Farm City Week. The day-long tour will take patrons to farms around the county Nov. 22, in celebration of Farm City Week.

Two shuttles will be carrying passengers, with one traveling from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the other from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Tour groups will get a behind-the-scenes look at what's growing locally, and will perhaps meet some local farmers.

Admission is $45, and includes transportation, snacks, gratuity, lunch and entry into various sites, some of which normally aren't normally open to the public.

Patrons are advised to wear boots or tennis shoes, sunglasses, wide-brimmed hats, sunscreen and maybe even bring a rain jacket along.

Reservations are required. For more information, visit www.fcw2013.eventbrite.com, or call 722-4524.
