Burglars steal $50,000 in Christmas decorations

Burglar(s) stole about $50,000 in Christmas decorations and a $38,000 van from an East County storage warehouse.

According to Manatee County Sheriff’s Office reports, sometime between May 5 and May 27, unknown suspects broke into a storage space at 3210 59th Drive E. The space contained Christmas decorations owned by By Design LLC.

There were no signs of forced entry, and deputies could not determine how the suspect(s) entered the warehouse, the report said.
