Nearly 400 building industry professionals gathered for the annual meeting, installation and awards dinner for the Gulf Coast Builder's Xchange Feb. 18 at the Polo Grill and Bar's Fete ballroom.

The 2010 Board of Directors are Jeffrey Charlotte of JE Charlotte Construction; Mary Forristall of Forristall Enterprises; Doug Sutter of Sutter Roofing Co. of Florida; Joseph Welch of Purvis Gray & Co.; Thomas Walter of Parker Walter Group; and Darrell Turner of Turner Tree and Landscape.

Additionally, the 2010 executive committee has been named as Bill Jarvis, chairman; Lem Sharp, chairman elect; Darrell Turner, secretary; Joe Welch, treasurer; and Jeff Charlotte, past chair.

"Electing the leadership of the organization is important to the entire contracting industry in the region," said Mary Dougherty-Slapp, executive director of the Builders Xchange. "Having good strong leadership is particularly important during these tough economic times."

Sen. Mike Bennett introduced the evening's keynote speaker, Alex Sink, the CFO for the State of Florida, and led the oath of office for new officers.

At the event, the Builders Exchange also congratulated Nate Yoder as Volunteer of the Year and awarded Lifetime Achievement Awards to Hollis Tucker and Bill North, Sr.
