Buchanan to host Chinese drywall forum

Congressman Vern Buchanan tonight will host a public discussion on concerns about defective Chinese drywall.

Buchanan has invited officials from the U.S. Department of Consumer Product Safety Commission to hear from homeowners at 6 p.m., tonight in the first floor chambers of the Sarasota County Administration Center, 1660 Ringling Blvd., Sarasota.

“Hundreds of Florida homeowners are suffering from the significant property damage and health concerns associated with defective Chinese drywall,” Buchanan said. “This forum will give them an opportunity to share their concerns and receive helpful information regarding the recently issued guidelines to remediate the drywall.”
