Prominent business owner Chris Brown continued adding to his Sarasota and Siesta Key investments with a $2.8 million purchase in the heart of Siesta Key Village.

According to the deeds filed Oct. 30 and Nov. 3 with the Sarasota County Clerk’s Office, Brown used the firm Ocean Blvd LLC to purchase four lots included in the Siesta Market complex, which currently houses the grocery story, a retail shop and a donut shop. Mike Granthon, Brown's business partner in several other LLCs, is listed as the registered agent for the company.

The property was owned by Joseph Golomb with Whiting Property, who purchased it in 2009. Siesta Market is currently owned by Vincent Messina.

The Siesta Market property adds to Brown’s growing empire both on Siesta and in Sarasota as a whole. On Siesta Key, Brown also owns several other properties, including the Beach Club Siesta Key, a retail complex in the Village and The Hub Baja Grill. the Brown purchased two properties on Main Street last year, one of which now holds Fit2Run. Brown also owns the IberiaBank building on Main Street.
