Braden River junior verbally commits to the University of Miami

The fullback is the Pirates' fourth Power 5 conference school commit.

Braden River junior fullback/linebacker Zac Smith verbally committed to the University of Miami on Saturday afternoon.

Smith made the announcement via Twitter. He will play fullback for the Hurricanes, per his tweet. 

He is the fourth Pirate to commit to a Power 5 conference school. Senior defensive back Tyrone Collins is headed to the University of Missouri, senior running back DeShaun Fenwick to the University of South Carolina and senior defensive lineman Taylor Upshaw to the University of Florida. 

Junior wideout Knowledge McDaniel has also received offers from multiple Power 5 schools, including South Carolina and the University of Mississippi, but has not made a commitment yet. 

Smith played for IMG Academy before transferring to Braden River prior to this season. He also drew interest from the University of Michigan among other schools.
