The Braden River softball team beat Venice 10-4 April 6 on Senior Night.
Four Braden River seniors ended the regular season on a winning note with a 10-4 victory versus Venice April 6 on Senior Night.
Bethaney Keen, Kally Martin, Kylie Toler and Linda Ross, who were honored before the start of the game, helped the Pirates post an 18-2 record, posting a new regular season wins record.
Keen went 2-for-4 with home run, six RBI and two runs scored to lead the way for Braden River at the plate. Myah Moy went 3-for-3 with a double, a walk and three runs scored. Sarah Crawford went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored. Ross had two hits and scored a run. Lexie Phelps added two hits and drove in a run.
The Pirates return to action in the Class 7A-District 9 tournament April 12. Braden River will face the winner of the quarterfinal matchup between Brandon and Tampa Bay Tech.
