Braden River blanks Palmetto in district finale

The Braden River High softball team shut out Palmetto 16-0 in its final district game of the regular season March 15.

Courtney Mirabella, Kenya Yancy and Hannah Loyer combined for the win on the mound, allowing three hits and one walk while striking out eight.

Yancy and Ashley Allard both went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and three runs scored to lead the way for Braden River at the plate. Melissa Malanczuk, Elena Lopez, Rachel Patneaude and Alyssa Patneaude all went 2-for-2 with a RBI. Jada Schopfer went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored.
