Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota receive holiday donation

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota received a $2,000 holiday donation from Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP Friday, Dec. 6. The donation is to assist with the nonprofit’s upcoming holiday parties for its members.

The donation is a part of Shumaker’s fundraising program, Leadership Shumaker, which organizes office-wide fundraising events to help local charities.

Shumaker employees have been collecting funds for the holiday donation at office events throughout the year, such as “Jeans Days” where employees wore jeans to work with a small donation.

In November, Leadership Shumaker collected toys and gift cards for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota’s annual holiday party, which is to be held on Thursday, Dec. 19. “Leadership Shumaker is thrilled to be a part of the giving spirit of the Boys & Girls Club.” said Adria Jensen, co-chairwoman of the Leadership Shumaker.
