Booker has itself a new baseball coach.
Anthony Crawford Jr., who played baseball at Booker, will take over the program. He is the head baseball academy trainer at X-Factor Elite Academy and attended Hillsborough Community College.
Booker's previous coach, Jeremy Schmidt, stepped down after four seasons.
The team captured its first district title since 2004 last season.
