WUSF 50th Birthday Bash

To celebrate 50 years, guests gathered for the WUSF 50th Birthday Bash “Live and in Person” Friday, Jan. 31, at Fête Ballroom. The evening was filled with music and dancing and live entertainment. Celebrity guest Paul Brown made an appearance at the event.

June LeBell made a special announcement, informing guests that she will be hosting a new radio program in Sarasota.

The Opera Gala 2014: 'A Masked Ball'

To celebrate the beginning of Sarasota Opera’s Winter Festival, guests gathered for a night of mystery at the Opera gala at Hyatt Regency Sarasota, following the performance, Saturday, Feb. 1.

The ballroom was draped in curtains, sparkling lights and chandeliers and guests were dressed to the nines, many wearing elaborate masks — it was an elegant affair.

The event, chaired by Carol Brualdi, which is Sarasota Opera’s largest fundraiser of the season, was held exactly one week prior to opening night of “Il trovatore.”
