Oh what a beautiful morning …
Sarasota beauties that could get to University Town Center at 9 a.m. on Nov. 6 enjoyed breakfast at Sophie’s at Cirque de Beauté, produced by Saks Fifth Avenue, to benefit the Circus Arts Conservatory. Some 50 guests learned the origins of the Jo Malone line of fragrances (a nutmeg and ginger concoction created by aesthetician Malone for the Queen of England) and heard the pitch for Cellcosmet’s “Botox in a Bottle.” Then it was down to the main floor for shopping, makeovers, glitter tattoos, a “Hello, Gorgeous” photo booth and free samples galore. The sole male at the affair was a brave Rich Williams, cajoled there by fellow Morgan Stanley employee Rochelle Nigri, and sharing a table with Penny Hill, Jennie Widden and Marcia Jean Taub.

From popping the question …
James Buchanan
surprised Lea Mei with a chartered yacht to watch the Halloween fireworks at Disney World, then pulled out a ring and popped the question. From there, he whisked her away in a limo to another surprise — dinner with his parents, U.S. Rep. Vern and Sandy Buchanan, her parents, Roberto and Denise Mei and her brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Nicole Mei, plus a photographer and a cartoonist. Lots of people have an engagement photo; not so many a cartoon.

To tying the knot ...
A long-time couple sealed the deal Nov. 2 when Tatyana Sharoubim and Dr. Chad Stewart wed on the anniversary of their first date. Friends since they met in college in 2003, they officially started dating when Tat ran the New York City Marathon in 2013. Their small private wedding was at the Point of Rocks home of a family friend. Victoria Blooms did the flowers, Polpo Pizza Food Truck did the catering and Lollicake Flour Parlor did the cake. No. 1 guest: their 9-month old son, Byron, who is clearly going to measure up to his dad.

Tidbits … Oh, baby, babies ... Michael and Terri Klauber welcomed second grandchild, Faith Marie, on Oct. 27. Baby Faith is the second daughter to Ceara Crews and joins big sister Nevaeh ... Matt and Diana Buchanan welcomed son George Vernon Buchanan Nov. 5. Baby George joins big sister Lilly ... Late start for a good cause ... Children First’s “Flip Flop Fashion Show” started a few minutes behind schedule because they were waiting for a very special person to arrive. As soon as Dr. Elaine Marieb arrived with Jo Rutstein, Carol Butera-Dutton and Phil Tavill announced and honored Marieb for her $1 million commitment to the organization ... Happy Birthday, Dear Ron … The first Asolo Starry Night dinner of the season honored long-time supporter Ron Greenbaum. It was pure coincidence that it just happened to fall on Nov. 2, which was his 80th birthday.
