A Bird Key home located at 667 Mourning Dove Drive sold last week for $4.95 million.

The seller was the Sarasota-based Solent Inc., and the buyers were Lawrence and Joan Castellani, of Longboat Key.

According to records on the Sarasota Property Appraiser’s website, sarasotaproperty.net, the transaction is the largest sale on Bird Key since January 2008, when the home at 643 Mourning Dove Drive sold for $6.9 million. The 6,520-square-foot home was built in 2009 and has five bedrooms, five bathrooms, two half-baths and a swimming pool, the property appraiser’s website states.

The home was built and listed by Murray Homes and sold by Judy Kepecz-Hays, of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate.
